Last night, Friday, I was able to go to my first mission reunion. After only being home for 2 months it's surprising that I am already having mission reunions isn't it? Well they are going to be held every year the day before the semi-annual conference. Better yet, they are held in Sandy, very close to the Larry H. Miller gas station. So if I needed to I can go and steal food from mom and dad on my way back to my apartment ;) When I got to the mission reunion I kept having people calling me asking me where I was, mostly because I was an hour and a half late. The reunion was held in the house of some of the former senior couples. I heard many voices in the basement when I walked in and when I walked in there the first person I know I saw was a sister missionary. She ran up to me and gave me this big hug. Now that sure was awkward, yet comforting haha. Someone that I couldn't ever hug for a year and a half and suddenly all restrictions gone. Good times, I completed my journey to the basement and it was there that I spotted one of my former comps, we had a glorious reunion and hugged. As we were talking another former comp came up and we all talked and laughed about old times. There were a bunch of missionaries there that I knew of, but didn't really know, and that was pretty awkward. Me being myself, just ignored a lot of people except those with whom I had association. I got pictures with quite a few people, and a few sisters. It was a really fun experience and I am so glad I decided to go. As I was leaving I was walking out in the dark up the driveway and I saw this lady standing next to a car and I looked at her, then did a double take. It was Lineth Juarez! One of the members from one of the wards that I served in. I was so surprised to see her. She had come for conference and one of the sister missionaries that knew her invited her to the "party" which was actually a missionary reunion. They felt really awkward when I told them that it was a reunion. But yeah, it was good to see her too. When I figure out how to post pictures i will.
Elder Hoskin and Sister Flores, (Ryan) Hoskin and I are going to be buds if I decide to transfer up to USU
Ahhh, Elder (Jacob) Smith, one of my favorite comps, currently going to BYU-I
Elder (Bobby) Pratt, another of my favorite comps, he is actually going to UVU too, I just need to nail him down more to get him to hang out. Sister (Stephanie) Bayba, it was really strange to be that close to her.
Elder (Sean) McGrath, my MTC comp.
President and Sister Raymond, my first Mission Pres, he remembered my name, that's surprising. haha
Sister (Juliana) Cavalcante (Stakland, she's married), My mission mom, hopefully someday soon she will feed Bobby Pratt and I and then we can reminisce.

I've been formatting pics from your mission to print and recognized Elder McGrath (you can see how "far" I've gotten). It's so great to get together with old friends.

Well, let's not get carried away. I don't think that all restrictions are gone just yet.
I went to a mission reunion soon after I got home and it was pretty fun. Later, it seemed everyone got spread to the four winds and I have no idea who shows up to one of those reunions now. (I am never in Utah when they happen).
We only went to one of J's mission reunions. It was pretty boring for me, but J saw a few people there he had known. I imagine it is probably the best right after you get back. After that you can all just keep in contact by attending each other's wedding receptions.
